A Partial List of Accomplishments (A report based on local's "straw poll")
TRC SET II, Group I and Group II:
1. Forty-two hard working/drinking/fun loving humanitarians/volunteers
2. Worked collaboratively with local staff to construct Admin/IT/Library building
2. Willing to worked on various assigned construction tasks
3. Handed out 105 bikes (including 40 bikes from CACO/GLEF)
4. Handed out 6 tons of rice (including a ton from CACO/GLEF)
5. Handed out some 3,000 care packages, including tooth brushes and pastes
6. Supported some 300 families affected by recent flooding
7. Visited and supported countless local NGOs, orphanages, and schools with humanitarian support.
8. Visited and inspected Cow Bank Project and engaged with sponsored families
9. Guide-toured of the famed Angkor World Heritage Site
10. Visited the famed Akira's Landmine Museum
11. Visited various places in 2 provinces and also Cambodia's capital
12. Rode the infamous BTB bamboo train and survived!
13. Ate great lunches on site at BTC campus, including tree-fresh sweet coconuts!
14. Experienced dinning pleasure and shopping experience at many different places
15. Boldly go where no other "tourists" rarely ventured, including local markets and other places.
16. Supported loal clinics and hospitals with skilled advice and much needed supplies
17. Danced the night away with "legally drunk" locals.
18. Only lost 5 folks due to (3 days off) minor illnesses, three minor work related accidents with one required 3 nights of first rate (first class) hospitalization.
19. Crashed one wild Gay/Lesbian/Transvestite party in BTB and danced the night away.
20. Supported & sponsored two local football (soccer) teams, a male and female team.
21. Witnessed, attended, and participated in a local wedding ceremony.
22. Overall feed back and rating by locals and internationals, "SWELL!"
23. Conclusion: "WIN-WIN" all the way by all those involved in BTC project.
24. A possible TRC SET III perhaps??? Why not give others a chance at "fundom???"
